Summary

NECTAR AND NATIVE Pollinator Wildflower Seed Mix SAMPLER

Create a 10' × 10' Native Wildflower Habitat. Sow August - October to come up in early spring 2027!

Plant native. Plant with purpose. Plant NECTAR AND NATIVE!

NECTAR AND NATIVE has been created for people who want their land to do something good.  This is more than a wildflower mix, it is a restoration tool designed to feed pollinators, rebuild native ecosystems, and bring meaningful beauty back to the landscape.  By planting native wildflowers, you are supporting bees, butterflies, birds, and beneficial insects that depend on these plants to survive, while creating a landscape that feels alive, intentional, and rooted in place.  NECTAR AND NATIVE turns open ground into living habitat. It feeds pollinators, restores native ecosystems, and brings purpose back to the landscape. When you plant this mix, you’re not just planting flowers, you’re helping rebuild what nature depends on.

By planting native wildflowers, you are supporting bees, butterflies, birds, and beneficial insects that depend on these plants to survive, while creating a landscape that feels alive, intentional, and rooted in place.

NECTAR NATIVE is built using regionally appropriate native species, designed for ecological function (not just color), blended to support real pollinator nutrition, and cleaned-tested-mixed for consistent performance.

    Native Range & Adaptation

Every species in our NECTAR AND NATIVE blend is native to Kentucky and the Eastern & Central United States, selected to provide continuous nectar and pollen from early spring through fall. Specifically, species in this mix are native to: Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, West Virginia, Virginia, and Arkansas.  This mix is also widely accepted for native pollinator plantings in: Pennsylvania, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Iowa, Kansas, and Oklahoma. Recognized by USDA PLANTS Database, BONAP, and state extension programs.

Each 0.7 oz bag covers approximately 100 square feet, making it easy to build healthier soil one bed at a time.

    Why Native Plants Matter

Pollinators evolved alongside native plants. When those plants disappear, pollinators disappear with them.  NECTAR AND NATIVE helps reverse that loss by:

    • Providing season-long nectar and pollen
    • Supporting native bees, butterflies, and beneficial insects
    • Restoring biodiversity and habitat function
    • Creating long-term, self-sustaining plant communities
    • Reducing the need for inputs once established

Planting natives is one of the most effective ways to make a real environmental impact, starting right where you live.

    What’s in the Mix

NECTAR AND NATIVE is a balanced blend of annuals, biennials, and perennials to ensure both fast establishment and long-term habitat value.  It includes:

    • White Yarrow (Achillea millefolium) – Perennial
    • Common Milkweed (Asclepias syriaca) – Perennial
    • Butterfly Milkweed (Asclepias tuberosa) – Perennial
    • Smooth Aster (Aster laevis) – Perennial
    • Partridge Pea (Chamaecrista fasciculata) – Annual
    • Lance-Leaved Coreopsis (Coreopsis lanceolata) – Perennial
